The NOLA Project returns to the Besthoff Sculpture Garden, once again, for an evening under the stars with ensemble member Pete McElligott’s new adaptation of Don Quixote, which follows the insanely idealistic knight and the utterly practical Sancho Panza as they encounter the world. What’s discovered is that life is safer when approached realistically, but so much richer when the craziest of dreams are followed. This world-premiere adaptation is a madcap comedic retelling of old adventures spliced with new ones as Quixote instructs the audience on how life should be lived. Our fantastical knight takes on everything from bandits to romance to grade-school math. He rarely wins, but he never loses his noble hopes!
This year marks the 400th Anniversary for the seminal novel by Miguel de Cervantes
