Get This Lake Off My House: Our Tempest

Directed by Andrew Larimer
June 2 - 25 | UNO's Lake Pontchartrain beach

Created in direct response to the disaster of Hurricane Katrina, Andrew Larimer’s original play GET THIS LAKE OFF MY HOUSE: OUR TEMPTEST was a modern comic adaptation of Shakespeare’s THE TEMPEST, resetting the tale in immediate post-Katrina New Orleans. Performed on the beachfront shore of Lake Pontchartrain near the UNO campus, the play represented one of the first theatrical responses to the storm presented in America and marked the first-ever outdoor production for The NOLA Project.
