The NOLA Project is an ensemble theatre company striving to challenge, entertain, and engage diverse New Orleans audiences through high-quality and innovative performances of relevant great works, the development and production of new plays, and comprehensive theatre education opportunities.

Twice awarded with the National Theatre Company Award from the American Theatre Wing, we’ve carved a special niche in the Gulf South with our immersive and innovative original plays.

Board President
Alex Turvy is the Director of School Operations for KIPP Leadership, where he leads a team that is responsible for overseeing daily school operations/logistics, enrollment, facility maintenance, finance, and food service for a K-8 school that serves 900 students.
ILYANETTE M. BERNABEL
Board Co-Vice President
Ilyanette Marie Bernabel, a self-proclaimed DominiRican (Dominican and Puerto Rican) born in Bronx, New York and raised in Poughkeepsie, New York, is a poet, actress, theatre artist and Curatorial Assistant at Longue Vue House and Gardens.

Board Co-Vice President
Meaghan Clark runs her own marketing and communications consultancy business, working with a wide range of clients from the manufacturing, medical, health and wellness industries.

Board Treasurer
Endya L. Hash is an associate attorney at Katie Lasky Law specializing in bankruptcy and commercial litigation, as well as a member of the Prescription Committee of the Louisiana State Law Institute
DR. YASIR AHMED
Board Member
Yasir is a board certified MD in Internal Medicine & Family Medicine who is passionate about providing healthcare to medically under-served communities here locally in New Orleans and has had the experience of practicing medicine in a variety of settings.
ANDREW BRAUN
Board Member
With over 35 years devoted to trying lawsuits and defending his clients in a wide variety of litigation, Andy has earned a stellar reputation among his peers and with his clients for his candid approach and seasoned understanding of the law.
MIRANDA CELESTRE
Board Member
Dr. Miranda Celestre earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. She then completed an otolaryngology residency at the University of California located in Los Angeles, California.
DAVID EMOND
Board Member
David is a social entrepreneur, educator, and youth advocate who has spent the past decade working to create a more equitable ecosystem of opportunity for New Orleans youth.

Board Member
Alex Jennings is a teacher, author, and performer living in New Orleans. His writing has appeared in strangehorizons.com, podcastle, The Peauxdunque Review, Obsidian Lit, the Locus-Award-winning Luminescent Threads: Connections to Octavia Butler, as well as numerous anthologies

Board Member
Georgia Gresham is Professor Emerita of Theatre Arts at Loyola University, New Orleans where she served as chair and artistic director of the Theatre Arts and Dance Department for 27 years.
Todd LaGrange
Board Member
Todd LaGrange, having already attended a few NOLA Project productions, was better introduced to the ensemble via his son's involvement in the High School Summer Intensive program.
LOIS SIMPSON
Board Member
Lois Simpson, a native of New Haven, Connecticut, served as the Executive Director of the Advocacy Center of Louisiana.

Board Member
Corinne Ashley Williams is a native New Orleanian with a passion for social justice. She is a full-time law student, community organizer, and supporter of the arts
DALE WILLIAMS
Board Member
Dale Williams is a swimming coach at Holy Cross High School, a water aerobics instructor, and an internationally ranked masters swimmer.
