Rough Draughts is The NOLA Project's free monthly play reading series held on the final monday of most months at NOLA Brewing Company at 3001 Tchoupitoulas St. Admission to the readings is FREE, though donations are always welcome. Come out and hear brand new plays that we are considering for production and offer us some friendly feedback about what you hear! The idea is to promote the reading and eventual production of new plays, give a voice to talented theatre writers, and create a more familial bond between the NOLA Project family of company members and patrons.

THIS MONTH'S READING:
John Proctor is the Villain
by Kimberly Belflower
This month's installment features JOHN PROCTOR IS THE VILLAIN by Kimberly Belflower. In present-day Appalachian Georgia, a high-school class explores the seminal American classic, "The Crucible". As scandal swirls in their community and old heroes are unmasked, the English assignment becomes uncomfortably relevant for the students. The line between witch and heroine blurs in this post-Me Too examination of power, love, and sex education.
