Rough Draughts is The NOLA Project's free monthly play reading series held on the final monday of most months at NOLA Brewing Company at 3001 Tchoupitoulas Street. Admission to the readings is FREE, though donations are always welcome.
Our mission with Rough Draughts is to help aspiring actors and playwrights become more involved within the New Orleans theatre community. We also aim to provide them with a welcoming audience, and to provide that audience with unique and new plays that are entertaining, engaging, and free for all to see and hear. Each month we will select a new play to read, and cast actors and would-be actors to perform the roles in a free public play reading. We welcome script submissions and actor/reader submissions for Rough Draughts readings right here on the website. Thank you for supporting new theatre in New Orleans.
