James Bartelle
Zarah Hōkūle’a Spalding
James Bartelle is a founding member of The NOLA Project. Onstage credits with the company include MARIE ANTOINETTE, 4000 MILES, THE PILLOWMAN, FRANKENSTEIN and many others. Writing credits include A KINGDOM OF STATUES, SHE REMEMBERS, THE SPIDER QUEEN and SHAKESPEARE'S TEMPEST, REIMAGINED. James also directed The NOLA Project's sold-out run of ROMEO & JULIET.
Born and raised in O’ahu, Hawai’i, Zarah Hōkūle’a Spalding trained classically in both New York (SUNY Purchase Theatre Arts Conservatory (BFA) and London (RADA; The Globe Theatre). In 2015, Zarah was the national champion for the ESU Shakespeare Competition at Lincoln Center. Recent theatre credits include the New Orleans Shakespeare Festival at Tulane's MACBETH (Second Witch), KING LEAR (Cordelia/Fool), and The NOLA Project's SHAKESPEARE'S TEMPEST, REIMAGINED (Ferdinand).
